Cellular Automata based Optimal Illumination in LED Based Lighting Systems

"It is perhaps a little humbling to discover that we as humans are in effect computationally no more capable than cellular automata with very simple rules. But the Principle of Computational Equivalence also implies that the same is ultimately true of our whole universe."

This research paper explored the computational model of cellular automata to optimise LED based lighting systems.  

Used Convolutional Neural Networks along with satellite imagery to analyse the wealth conditions of a given geographical location. The idea aims at replacing the traditional review-based approach for conducting poverty analysis. The elimination of poverty is one of the most important goals for sustainable development and requires frequent and more reliable data models on the distribution of poverty. 

​Fake News Detection using Machine Learning


Fake news has turned out to be a menace. Distinguishing Fake news is a critical advance towards safeguarding the uprightness and prosperity of the society. With the increasing popularity of social media, there’s an upsurge in the propagation of fake news. There is a lack of proper framework for dealing with it. The following project was an attempt to use benchmark datasets for analysis of fake news using machine learning approaches and provide a solution to the tackle it. 

A Model for Earthquake Detection and Analysis in a Data Intensive Environment

Machine learning methods can be used for analyzing continuous time series data in order to detect earthquakes effectively. The proposed work exploits parallel processing in Hadoop by using the various frameworks like Pig-Hive optimization, Map Reduce and Impala, in order to mine and analyze earthquake data to propose a model for predicting future earthquakes.

Analyzing the intricacies and extensive analogies  of different algorithms which dictate the properties and processes of data is a major aspect of my research. I have worked on several research based projects and publications in order to enrich my understanding.
